Tal vez el cuervo a muchos les suene a negativo, sin duda esta negatividad asociada al cuervo viene de su aparición en los campos de batallas de tantas guerras en la antigua Europa. El cuervo era el basurero, el limpiador, el que recogía los restos destrozados de los guerreros caídos en los campos de batalla. El cuervo evoca en esa imagen una pesadilla ancestral. La muerte.

El cuervo en la Europa celta se asociaba a la diosa celta Morrigan, diosa celta de la guerra, la muerte y la destrucción y que era una gran profeta que utilizaba al cuervo como su oráculo.

The film is set to release in October, but until now we can just quench on the latest trailer, and take a look back at what made «Carrie» great so many years back (almost 30!).

Surely no one can outdo Sissy Spacek’s alien beauty and frail feminine qualities, but undeniably Ms. Grace Moretz will bring a freshness to the part that she’s consistently showcased in her last several films. This is her big BIG break. Much as it was Spacek’s those many years ago. . .

Mad Memories- Photographing Suitcases from New York State Mental Asylum

In 1995, 400 suitcases were recovered from the attic of the Willard State Asylum in Upstate New York. Many patients died at the asylum and were buried in graves marked only by numbers. For many, these suitcases are the only traces left of these sad, lost, and lonely lives.

Dating between 1910 and 1960, photographer Jon Crispin has begun the chilling endeavour of cataloguing each suitcase and the contents therein. These people were deemed unfit for society, but Crispin’s photographs reveal a tragic humanity to the individuals whose memory remain in the mysterious objects and photos in these many bags and luggages.

Being the lovers of mystery we are, we couldn’t help but share some of these photos with you here, and the strange enigma they leave for us to ponder.
